Meet Dr. Karen Drezner, our Founder and CEO
I launched Leveraging Leaders in 2011 to help more social impact leaders stick with it. As a school founder and organizational leader myself, I know how deeply fulfilling and complex our work can be, and how critical my ongoing learning and development was to my long-term success and sustainability.
Over the past 15 years, as our engagements have expanded to include broader transformational endeavors, I am consistently reminded that advancing equity requires not only courage and clarity, but the discipline to examine systems honestly while honoring the strengths communities already hold. Leadership is inseparable from questions of power, race, and justice, and shape real outcomes for students and communities.
